The Curriculum prescribed by CBSE and implemented at RSRIS strives to:
Ensures Holistic Approach: The holistic nature of human learning and knowledge should be brought forth while transacting the curriculum to make them good citizens who can contribute in making the world a happy place. Curriculum Provide ample scope for holistic i.e, physical, intellectual and social development of students. Emphasize constructivist rather than rote learning highlighting the importance of hands-on experience. Encourage the application of knowledge and skills in real life problem solving scenarios.
Integrated Pedagogy:
Languages, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Art Education, and Health & Skill Education & Work Experience are integrated with each other in terms of knowledge, skills (life and livelihood), comprehension, values and attitudes. Children should get opportunities to think laterally, critically, identify opportunities, challenge their potential and be open to new ideas. Children should be engaged in practices that promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development and wellbeing connect different areas of knowledge, application and values with their own lives and the world around them.
Personal Development: (Self Awareness & Self Image)
School, through formal and informal systems, encourages students to recognize personal attributes, talents and interests. Such recognition contributes towards students personal growth, realistic goal setting and building self-esteem.
Personal – Social Emotional Wellbeing and Development of Health:
The school focuses on the personal, social and emotional development of the students and makes provisions and space for a variety of strategies and opportunities to promote them at all levels. The school environment is physically, socially and psychologically, healthful and promotes health enhancing behaviors. The connectedness/positive relationships between teachers and students are evident. Teachers demonstrate skills related to dealing with different aspects of development of children. Student support teams and processes are well established.
News Paper in Education: Student Edition “The Hindu in School†plays a major role in updating the current affairs across the world. All the six working days of the week, student Editions are issued to children from Class 4 to 8 and are guided to read. Assessments take place periodically on these Editions.
Career Guidance: The ultimate aim of RSR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Curriculum is to ensure that each pupil is able to enter a career of his/ her choice at the end of the schooling years. The school facilitates career counseling workshops and scientific assessment of the capabilities to help the pupil decide on a career.
