Early Childhood Care and Education

At RSR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) is extremely dynamic and always action packed.’ Significant learning takes place during this period in their little minds as there is always scope for something new and unique about the way in which children think and learn.

CURRICULUM

At RSR, we truly acknowledge the fact that each child is a unique individual and must be nurtured and encouraged to develop and reach his/her full potential.

Our goals in the teaching- learning process are definitely value based and also focus primarily on the needs, interests, strengths and developmental levels of children in our care.

We see learning as a process of active exploration and questioning and strive to strike the right balance between structured and unstructured, teacher directed and self chosen, group and individual, indoor and outdoor, noisy and quiet and active and passive activities.

Our carefully designed competency and skill based Scholastic & Co Scholastic integrated program, while providing a wide range of experiences and materials to foster and enhance physical, motor, social, emotional, aesthetic and intellectual development also allows ample time and opportunity for one on one contact with the teacher.

We strongly believe in emphasizing the thinking process, concept development and enquiry based learning in children. To achieve this objective, we use the Project Method which is multidisciplinary and integrated in nature.

Infra and Ambience : Colorfully designed classrooms with storytelling corners, exclusively designed toy library, Dining Room, Activity Lab, and the Theater room form the venue to nurture the creative abilities in the children. The passionate and dedicated teachers use puppets, models, flash cards, songs, ICT Techniques and rhymes and so on to develop the numeric ability, linguistic ability, sensory motor skills and general habits.

The Knowledge corner is an integral part of every classroom. Children are encouraged to ask questions, seek information, clarify, discuss, experiment and share understanding about the things they observe around them.

Extended Learning: A positive, relaxed and happy atmosphere in school coupled with the provision of a rich variety of experiences such as sharing time, creative drama, storytelling, creative activities, a specially designed dolls house, gardening and field trips promotes development in a holistic manner.

Teacher Empowerment: Our teachers are our strength. As facilitators in the teaching-learning process they are engaged in professional development at regular intervals throughout the academic year.

Extended Relationship: We understand that the partnership between the parents and teachers plays a key role in the all round development of a child. We whole heartedly welcome parent participation as resource persons, volunteers or sharing of special hobbies and skills with our children. We value the feedback of our parents through on and off sessions (PTMs’ & Reports through Children)
